[ the down housing is a unique sort of challenge that laura puts herself through--because it's her choice entirely to be here, yennefer made it very clear that the spare room in the apartment was hers, if she would have it. laura stays in the down though, and there's a small blessing in that she doesn't have to share the room with anyone else, but even so.
