that doesn't surprise me. you should have seen him after logan died. i don't think he would have been satisfied until he drowned right alongside him. but i doubt you'll alienate him forever. (and if you do...we've all had to get pretty good at living with someone we don't get along with at some point in our lives. you'll manage)

the situation isn't ideal. i don't think i've ever had a bruise last this long in my life. but i'm managing.

Not so much trouble as deterioration, I think. When I last saw him, he was creaky but functional. Like someone with a prolonged illness settling in.

It may seem worse than it is to someone who's never seen it before.

( it's the sort of thing she should know already, but of course she doesn't. not when she's done everything in her power to stay as far away from him as this camp will allow. it had seemed like the easiest way to get them both through this, but now laura isn't so sure. )
